Breaking out of my comfort zone with my home studio, I had the wonderful opportunity to step back in time a little and go on location at The Founder’s Manor l Estate in Adairsville in Adairsville, GA for a vintage shoot with McKenna Weinbaum and Kendall Hanzlik 🤩

Enjoy this sneak peak (and one of Kendall to follow), while I curate through almost 1200 photos and face the challenge of picking a handful to create these fine art portraits. 😅

"Psyche with an Urn" after Robert Julius Beyschlag (Swipe to see the inspiration.)

For several years, I have been envisioning some portraits modeled after original paintings (or in this case, a painting after an original); I am super excited to share the first of these!

"Psyche with an Urn" reflects the 19th century classical revival, when European artists like Beyschlag, reimagined figures from Greco-Roman mythology in idealized, poetic scenes rather than faithful depictions.

Its significance lies in Psyche’s symbolism as the soul—often hinted at by the butterfly—so the image becomes less about a literal story moment and more about beauty, inwardness, mortality, and the soul’s refinement.

A tremendous shout out to Madison who modeled perfectly what I had envisioned! 🦋

This weekend I finally started a ballet portrait project that I had been envisioning for a couple years! I had the awesome privilege to work with a couple of ballet dancers this weekend, creating some beautiful portraits that I can’t wait to share.

Ballet is a beautiful art, and the blood, sweat and tears that dancers put into their craft is truly inspiring!

A huge shout out to and for making the trek up to my studio. I’m also looking forward to being able to work with additional dancers in the near future!

If you’re interested in portraits of your own, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to chat!
