Some of my favorite things right now:

- hearing the cicadas outside (why do i feel like they’ve been more quite these past few years?? They’re so nostalgic to me)
- splash pads with Selah, my daughter 🫶🏻
- decluttering and getting rid of things in our home that no longer serve us
- willow trees, flowy pants, iced coffee, puzzles, and Selah’s night time routine (she wants me to lay in bed with her, sing Jesus loves me, pray, then she makes me leave her room so that Jacob can sing Jesus loves me and pray and then she knocks out within seconds of him leaving the room 🤣)

Life is beautiful, even in the midst of trials, health issues and life being a little crazy right now with us moving. I’m choosing to see the blessings God has given us and the beauty surrounding us. I pray that you’re able to see the beauty surrounding you today and that the troubles of life would feel a little less heavy today. ♥️

The summer is flying by and it got me thinking about how summer used to feel so long when we were kids! Honestly time in general just felt longer when we were younger and now weeks and months and years just fly by. It’s a good reminder to try to soak up all the moments and memories that are happening right now because before we know it, years will go by and we’ll be looking back on these moments we’re experiencing right now! So with all that said, just a little reminder to live life to the fullest and take the adventures and the risks and your future self looking back on your current self will thank you 🥰

On today’s agenda, my daughter, Selah, and I are going to hang out with my husband, Jacob, at work so I can get some work done and Selah can get a glimpse of VBS (my husband works at a church just in case you’re confused.) I’m going to be finishing up a wedding today and then getting coffee and going swimming with a friend and then back home to pack (have I mentioned we’re moving…?) Life is a little hectic right now between packing and getting ready to move and being in the middle of busy season and preparing for a surgery next month and it’s times like these that sometimes you just need a moment to breathe. So today, how I’m intentionally finding time to relax a bit, is listening to worship music on my drive, prioritizing time with friends even in the midst of chaos, and starting my day off reading my Bible.
How are you intentionally finding time to breathe and relax right now? ♥️

The last two slides have some special photos that felt really touching to photograph and it’s moments like these that I hope my couples are able to look back on and feel so grateful that these moments were captured that they didn’t see happening. Like dad watching his little girl dance with his dad, or grandma sharing a sweet kiss on grandpas head during the craziness sod the dance floor or the tears shed during the speeches.

Dana & Lucas had a stunning wedding last month and I’m still drooling over it honestly! They had the sweetest first looks and vow readings and then a special moment of being prayed over before the ceremony. This day was surrounded by their faith and their love for each other and it was truly breathtaking to witness!

Truly such a special day for Emily & Andrew! It was supposed to rain all day and instead, it was the most beautiful weather with sunny skies, birds chirping and a gorgeous sunset to end out the day. I couldn’t have hoped for a better day for the two of them.
