Taking some inspiration from , I’ve been able now to reduce my shutter speed to 1/15 of a second on my handheld daytime pans. I cannot emphasize how difficult the learning curve was for these types of shots. It took me hours and hours of shooting to adjust and now be comfortable at this speed. When shooting at 1/15, you literally can barely blink while taking a photo if you want to obtain a clear result. However, when you do, it’s money.

Today I decided to share one of my favorite pans from recently. Here’s a Max-8 rotating out of with beacons flashing and a mismatched radome. Many more shots like this to come from here, hope y’all enjoy!

I debated for a long time what I wanted the first post after my rebrand to be. I chose this one as it combines two elements of my photography I’ve been working on in the past weeks, night shooting and panning.

This is a 1/8 of a second pan of a IAero Airways 737-400 coming in to land as a charter for the Air Force football team. I love how the swift air details have been taken off but that beautiful blue striping down the back still remains! Let me know what y’all think!

First of all, happy new year to everyone! I am proud to announce that beginning this year, .plane.spotter will be no more. I have decided to change my image online to .

To make a long story short, when I started this account over 4 years ago I was a kid in high school embarrassed for my love of this hobby and my photography. As I have gotten older, I have realized that it is important to truly reflect who you are and your true passions online. I realized I needed to take ownership of what I enjoy and creating content to be enjoyed by others. Thus, I needed to change my account to reflect more of myself in my images.

With that being said, thank you to everyone who I met this year along the way. A special shout-out goes to for showing me around IAH for my first time this year, to for always encouraging me in the comments and being a great person to spot with, and .spotter for a really memorable and enjoyable last day of spotting in 2021. Throughout this next year, I hope to meet more of y’all and continue keeping up relationships with the ones I have met this year. Wishing all of y’all blue skies and tailwinds for 2022.

And an Alaskan sunset 🌅…

The aircraft and photography Dallas Love Field Airport] has been incredible over the last few days. I’ve really tried to push myself when I’ve been spotting and I am incredibly excited to share my new brand of photography with y’all. With that being said, here’s an 170 taxiing for takeoff on the only currently active runway Dallas Love Field Airport]!

Yesterday morning sunrise 🌅 …

Going out to yesterday morning I had this specific shot in mind. I had hoped the clouds would clear up enough behind the aircraft to allow some light to come through in the backdrop. Wow did this end up happening for this A321 taxiing out of DFW. The unedited version of this shot is the second slide in my post. I think editing has become too much of an important aspect in photography, and as you can tell through most of my page I don’t edit my photos heavily at all, and I only began using Lightroom this year. However, seeing edited photos from and , I decided to attempt to up my editing game in these last two shots I’ve shared with y’all. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Thank you for 1000 followers! 👏…

Extremely blessed to have reached this milestone with help from all of you that follow. I would not be where I am today without each and every one of you. Thank you for all of the support throughout the last few months of me restarting my account. Shoutout to all of those I met this year who taught me that the most important thing about this hobby is the people. I truly hope to meet more of y’all throughout this next year. Thank you again!
Enjoy this 787 taxiing for takeoff this morning !

Update 🚨…
I’m very pleased to announce that I have accepted a position as a financial analyst intern for this upcoming summer! Extremely excited to be able to work for this amazing company and participate in getting planes like this E175 off of the ground ! Also very ready to be able to non-rev almost every weekend around the AA system next summer and better my portfolio! Let me know which airports you would like me to visit, and hopefully I’ll be able to meet more of y’all out spotting.

Back to it 🚀 …

I’ve got finals coming up so posting will become less and less frequent, however, I couldn’t resist showing off this beautiful A320 departing in some nice golden hour light! I’ve got lots of exciting stuff planned for the next few weeks. Stay tuned
