I've been a part-time photographer for a few years now and love to travel and share my experiences. I live in the Dallas, Texas area but love to travel as much and whenever I can to see and enjoy nature. I enjoy being outdoors and appreciating all the beauty that nature has for us. Spent the morning at White Rock Lake in Dallas photographing the local Bald Eagles. We had a
teaching moment when one of the adult eagles was trying to show a juvenile (1 of 3 this year)
how to fish and find food for itself.
(It wasn't the most successful of lessons. 😏)

This location is known as The Cathedral because of the way the trees bend back to cover the stream like the walls of a cathedral. It's a nearly 2 mile hike each way but well worth it to enjoy the sights and sounds of sitting in this quiet place and admiring the view.

Driving along on a wet afternoon in the Smoky Mountains near Cherokee, NC and noticed that the wet roads were reflecting the Fall colors. Just had to pull over and grab my camera and catch this scene. Lots of U-turns and sudden stops on days like this. :)

Caddo Lake late afternoon last week.
Caddo Lake if the largest bald cypress forest in the world, over 25,000 acre lake. Some areas the cypress are bunched together and other areas they are spread out as in this photo. This was late in the afternoon last week, the sun was low on the horizon and was lighting up the cypress fall colors.

Sunrise on Caddo Lake in East Texas last week. They say the best camera is the one you have with you...I mistakenly left my wide angle lens in the cabin this particular morning so I used my iPhone 17 Pro-Max for this particular shot. So glad I keep that particular "camera" with me all the time.
