Happy Faygo Day Juggalos!

Did you know that Faygo Day goes back to 2007 when the State of Michigan honored Faygo Beverages Inc. on their 100th anniversary by establishing the holiday? So get out to your local corner store, Dollar Tree, or where ever you buy Faygo and pick up a pop!

The Celebration of Life for Steven "Soopa" Guerrero was today and the DFW and North Texas Juggalo Family came together to mourn and share laughs with each other as they remembered the outsize personality and caring man that was Soopa Guerrero.

This past week I've been scouring my archives trying to find any and all photos of Soopa that I'd shot as I covered the local Juggalo scene between 2014 and 2017 and I'd like to share those with everyone who knew and loved him. Many of these shots have been published previously here on this page as well as at FaygoLuvers and I also pulled a lot of photos I'd never before used and have never been seen! Also included within this album are digital outtakes from the film project in which Soopa modeled for me in the studio.

The return of my JetYonkin.com blog is here! My website has sat untouched for far too long. I hope to update some of the photography on the home page as well as in the various photo categories, but in the meantime I have created a brand new blog post all about the Kottonmouth Kings and Kung Fu Vampire's recent concert here in Dallas, TX.

If you haven't had a chance to see my photography of this show and the fans who came out to support, this is a great opportunity to check out some great photos! 💚💚💚

RIP Soopa

I didn’t know Soopa Guerrero nearly as well as so many of the Juggalos in this DFW scene, but I met him in 2014 when he answered an open call on FaygoLuvers for Juggalos to model for me. I took him into the studio and photographed him using a large format film camera and even taught him just enough to operate the camera that he took a photo of me as well. He was always a good dude and I’m sad that I never got as close to him as his Family who are all in pain right now missing this amazing person. 💚

It's been two weeks since the Kottonmouth Kings show in Dallas and I've been hard at work editing every night after the day job to make these shots pop, but I couldn't help but share a preview of more to come to show I haven't forgotten about y'all!
