I remember quietly waiting for the precessional to begin when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw a guest smiling at me and he wanted to point out that a butterfly had landed in the floral arrangements. I didn’t know if this butterfly signified someone or something special to him, but I quickly grabbed my camera to get the shot. This small moment was the perfect reminder to slow down and continue to notice the small things happening around me as a wedding photographer, even when the day’s most anticipated event was about to begin 🤍
