Quick but great trip to Austin, I think this was my 4th trip there in the past 2 months, with more coming just around the corner. Feels like I enjoy the city more and more every chance I get there. And I’ve realized that it’s the people down there that make it special. From great clients who become great friends to the people you meet at restaurants and even at the front desk of the hotel. It’s got a vibe that’s hard to match, and it’s infectious. Stay weird Austin! ❤️🕺 thank you for the lovely hospitality and the laughs, and for jumping in to help brave the rainy weather(don’t worry I have lights!😎).

This shoot did not disappoint. We recently wrapped an ad campaign for .us showcasing their living architectural sculptures, genuinely some of the most striking living plant art I’ve seen.
Large scale and challenging locations kept us moving, especially at . Shaping light in a windowless warehouse to create a cohesive, editorial mood on a tight timeline is no small feat, but it’s where the growth happens. None of it would have come together without the elevated art direction and styling of .
Keep pushing your creative territory to grow those photographer legs. Say yes to the projects that feel outside your comfort zone and if those opportunities aren’t coming yet, create them.
This profession will burn you out if you let it get too routine. Mix it up. It keeps you sharp, and it keeps you happy. 😎

Digging around on Dropbox and stumbling on an old website folder from around 2013?? Most of these are pre 2010, or somewhere in that era. It’s pretty wild to see how things have changed. Some of these are film, some a mix of using a digital back on a 4x5(what was I thinking???🤷🏻‍♂️😂), and some with a 5d. Lighting styles and post processing styles have changed but I still like these exactly how they are. I’m a clueless idiot with photoshop but I try, and I see flaws in everything which is beautiful to me. I’m trying to learn how to embrace the imperfect again, let the shots speak to me the way they did before social media influence. Enjoy this trip down memory lane. Thanks to all people involved in creating this work, if I missed tagging you let me know. ❤️📸.

Turks and Caicos. Waterfront. Designer (Nathan Turner). Robb Report.
This one was something special to photograph. A nine bedroom West Indies retreat designed to feel like a private boutique hotel, where the ocean becomes part of the interior and every detail earns its place.
So grateful to Nathan for trusting us with this project. See the full feature at Robb Report. Link in bio.

This was also one of my last shoots with Brian(aka Stickboy) Powell before he left to Cambodia to teach. He def went out with a bang. And special thanks to Nathan for being an incredible stylist, proving that getting your hands dirty is the only way to go. 😘.

Sticking to a Texas theme, some images from a shoot documenting the southwestern art collection of the legendary owners Tom and Lisa Perini for Special thanks to for being a huge part of this collection and styling this shoot. It’s one of those shoots you never forget, and has me longing to return to Buffalo Gap, Texas and sit down on the patio for a 3 hr meal. Definitely worth the drive.

What makes a house feel like a home? Whatever it is to you, this west Texas ranch oozes it out of its pores. Don’t underestimate the story of a home. Special thanks to .design.studio for inviting me to capture this home in its real state. I long for more collaboration like this. Please reach out if you have a home(or ranch) worth saving through my lens.
