Bow to Stern - Black and White

Sailing vessels busting through the Deep Blue Ocean waves just off the coast of St Tropez France, the Les Voiles Sailing Regatta is a sight to see especially from the air as Shreve captures all the intense excitement from helicopter. The Les Voiles races date back to the 18th century at Saint-Tropez with prominence in French maritime history. The Sailors who gather each year at St Tropez continue this long-standing tradition.

Into The Storm

After leaving the area of Coal Mine Canyon in Arizona pulling onto Highway 264 this storm dominated the left side view. What an image of an empty highway leading directly “Into The Storm”. Shreve utilized unique methods to keep the entire scene in focus to reveal the drama throughout the scene. As a Fine Art photographer trekking from place to place sometimes leads photographs you find or that occur along the pathways to undiscovered beauty and drama.

Head On

Sailing vessels busting through the Deep Blue Ocean waves just off the coast of St Tropez France, the Les Voiles Sailing Regatta is a sight to see. Shreve captured all the excitement just a few meters from this ocean racing vessel. The Les Voiles races date back to the 18th century at Saint-Tropez with prominence in French maritime history. The Sailors who gather each year at St Tropez continue this long-standing tradition.

Sunset White Horses at Camargue

The origin of the Camargue horse remains relatively unknown, most likely from Spain, although it is generally considered one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world. For centuries, possibly thousands of years, these white horses have lived wild in the harsh environment of the Camargue marshes and wetlands of the Rhône delta, guarded by the Camargue "cowboys". Camargue horses galloping through water is a popular and romantic image of the region.

New Zealand is a photographers dream....It has so many photographic destinations. What is your favorite place for landscape photography?

Boulders at Dusk

Located on Koekohe Beach on the South Island of New Zealand,
The Moeraki Boulders are said to have formed due to the hardening of Paleocene mudstone which was buried in the mudstone cliffs. Over time, the sea’s waves have gradually eroded the softer stone to reveal the spherical formation beneath. Scientists believe that their spherical shape is due to their source of carbon being mass diffusion, which lead the rocks to “grow” over five million years, while at the same time, up to 50 meters of marine mud settled on them. Shreve captured this scene during the dusk hour as the tide moved inward.

Autumn at The Mall

The “Open Air Hall of Reception” as once referred, Lined with Elm Trees, a walkway leading to the beautiful Bethesda Terrace, the Central Park Mall runs through the middle of the park from 66th to 72nd street. It remains the sole formal feature of Olmsted and Vaux's naturalistic creation. To the north lies the Terrace Bridge, while the Olmsted Flower Bed is located directly south of the mall. Shreve captured this image on a cool Fall morning.

I love creating art from dramatic architecture and New York City is one of the best places to fine such magnificent structures....What is your favorite city for architecture?

Manhattan Bridge

The Manhattan Bridge was completed in 1909 and it is the youngest of the three NYC East River suspension bridges. This bridge spans from “The City” to Brooklyn boasting magnificent metal towers and long spans of suspended metal beams. Shreve Captured this image as a low cloud layer enveloped the bridge creating a fog between New York City and the view of Brooklyn on the other side. A single red light is viewable as the Subway moves across the bridge.

Airlie Beach Abstract

Surrounded by the Sea the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland Australia are pure beauty to behold. Airlie beach is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. The beach is beautiful sands and turquoise to deep blue waters. This image was created via helicopter and displays the contrast of sand and water as the tide rolls. There is much peace and serenity in this place. After an hour of shooting over the Great Barrier Reef Shreve captured this image upon return.
