The Professional Photographers of America had their annual International Print Competition this month. Many of my PPA friends enter this competition to encourage skills, creativity, and further their craft. I am thrilled to have been a medalist for the 4th time in a row with all my entries selected to be in the merit or loan category. I appreciate friends, colleagues, and clients who have helped me achieve this goal on my journey in photography.
The first four images were in the Photographic Open competition where I qualify for a Silver Medalist and the 5th image was my first entry in the Master Artist competition which also merited. I am excited to set new goals for the coming years! Congratulations to all my friends who also did so well at IPC.

The judging of the International Photographic Competition 2017 by the judges has come to its completion. We are all allowed to enter 4 images in the Photographic Open competition and they are judged on 12 different qualities. Those images that scored above a certain number meeting these standards were awarded a Merit Award and those which scored a superior score were recipients of going into the Loan Collection which will appear in an annual publication. I was very fortunate to Merit all 4 of my entries and two of them will be included in the Loan Collection. I am excited to receive a Gold Medal during Imaging USA for these awards. This process of learning, creating, and competition is a supportive part of the Professional Photography Association that makes us all better photographers and artists. Thanks to my fellow photographers, clients, and other professionals that have assisted and inspired me to keep growing!

Captured at Ross Castle in Ireland. After removing some commercial boating and tourist distractions the castle is more like it's historic self ! Ireland is spectacular !
