Finally sent my film off to get developed from this summer. Here are a few images from a retreat with back in August. We had so much fun shooting on location and in studio! Thanks again for the experience, Jena!

It feels so good to be shooting film again. Something I did since my first camera up until 2014ish. I feel like a no ie again but it’s so fun! I have had the desire to incorporate film into my food work and I love it.

White chocolate cocktail with I’ll take another please!

This was a fun one to create and sip. We went to the store for something else and I saw this bottle and had this image in my mind to create. The final image is very close to what I imagined. Just couldn’t find any miniature forest creatures 😂😂😂 Trust me, it may sound odd but I am positive it would’ve turned out awesome.

We are having fun trying new cocktails so if you have any recommendations please share them. 🤗

So i might have gone a little crazy a few weeks ago and ordered quite a few Christmas themed NordicWare and cookie stamps. I can’t wait to use them ALL!

This is Christmas shortbread is inspired by recipe from 2018. I came across her recipe when going down a rabbit hole of traditional Christmas desserts. When I saw the design of the baking tin I knew I had to have one! It is so beautiful!

Tis the season to bring on all the festive food and drinks like this cocktail featuring Their elderberry gin made the perfect base for an orange and rosemary cocktail.

We already have a few other cocktails we want to try with this gin. Anyone up for a little apple and spices in the next creation?! 🙌🏻🍎

I made these cupcakes the weekend of Valentine’s Day and on my niece’s birthday who turned one on the 12th 🥳

This recipe was so good! It’s from one of my new favorite cookbooks, Rise and Run by and

I have kind of a cookbook obsession. Anyone else?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ My husband and i are cooking our way through each cookbook one at a time. Figured I better use them and not just stare at the pretty pictures! 😃

I e been teaching myself watercolor over these last few years. It’s a pretty new hobby that I ended up getting really into. More than I expected. Growing up I never considered myself the best drawer, painter, or general artist. It’s especially difficult to not get into the comparison game when you live in a family filled with naturally gifted artists. However, as I have grown I find all this family talent so inspiring. I am so deeply proud of my siblings, father, and grandma and all their creativity.

When I picked up a camera again in college I felt so in my element. I thought this. This is how I can show my unique creativity. It was only recently that I decided to pursue it as a career. I am so glad I did.

I am so glad my family made time to express their creative passions. I find it helped me feel I could also express my creative voice as well.

But I digress! I picked up watercolor as a way to try something new and refreshing. I mean with so many painters in the family I thought I’d give it a try again and see why it’s so amazing. I’ll tell you right now it is! I was quickly addicted!

I still think about this watercolor set I should’ve picked up when I had the pleasure to photograph

I randomly met Kendall Davis Clay] at a local farmers market, last summer. I loved her creations so much! I found her kitchen ware and vases to be clean and minimalist, tumefacto earthy and organic feeling.

I knew I wanted to learn more about her and her work so I asked if I could meet her at her studio for an environmental portrait session. It was a pleasure to get to know Kendall, her pups, and her story. It was really fun to watch her work and in her element. She is a very kind and down to earth person and it was really hard to not buy all the things! I do have a beautiful blue mug that will someday have a friend. 🤗

A girl and her pup.

This is Lexa with her pup Cricket. Cricket was recently diagnosed with cancer which has effected her heart. This news was devastating. Lexa’s and her family are giving Cricket all the love and attention a pup could want as they make sure she remains as comfortable as possible.

I offered to do a shoot for them this past Mother’s Day weekend. I love animals, and especially dogs. I understand the relationship between a woman and her dog as I have a fur creature of my own. The C word is something no one ever wants to hear and for your beloved pet to get a diagnosis like that can make you feel helpless.

So we all loved on Cricket, I snapped a ton a photos, and we watched as she excitedly sniffed around and begged to go on a walk.

Thanks for letting out a weird looking “toy” in your face Cricket! You sure are a cutie!

Continuing with my previous post and sharing more people than food and travel this week. :)

The Lustberg family is someone I have known for a few years now. I worked with their daughter as her aquatic and recreational therapist and it's been amazing to see her progress and independence grow. This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing them when their grandparents were in town. It was a weekend of graduation celebrations, a birthday, and Mother's Day! And take a look at those cutie twin boys!
