There’s something really special about the friendships this career has brought into my life.

Years ago I met my girl Jamie at a retreat in Colorado, and somehow what started as two photographers showing up to learn, turned into years of shared trips, late night conversations, airports, workshops, life updates, and memories I’ll always hold onto.

In March, their family made a special stop on their trip and I got to photograph them here in Dallas! There is something so special about your friends trusting you to capture seasons in life. Not only did I get to see and hug my girl, our families got to have dinner together before they left. Watching our boys laughing together, and picking up so naturally like old friends do is truly magical. Watching people you love become woven into your children’s memories too is such a gift.

Photography gave me more than a career. It gave me people. The kind you meet by chance and somehow end up carrying with you through so many seasons of life. We love you Hunt Family!

Some sessions just mean a little more 🤍

Out on the water, where they feel most like them—sun on their skin, wind in their hair, laughter echoing across the lake. This is where their story lives right now and I jumped at the opportunity to photograph them in their favorite place.

And alongside all of that joy is a quiet tenderness… a season of holding their sweet pup a little closer, soaking in the familiar, the comforting, the everyday moments that mean even more right now.

It’s a reminder we don’t get to hold onto any season forever. Not the little years, not the chaos, not even the ones we love most.

So we document it.
The joy, the connection, the in-between.
