The Gulf Coast is notorious for crazy changing weather, and forecasts are often unreliable, especially during the summer months!!! Because of this, weather related decisions are typically made as close to session time as possible.
I am happy to photograph sessions in overcast or cloudy conditions. In fact, cloudy skies often create beautiful, soft light for portraits. However, sessions will be postponed, rescheduled or canceled if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable for my photography services, including:
• Active rain or a high likelihood of rain during the session time
• Thunder or lightning in the area
• Excessive wind that impacts safety, comfort, or image quality
• Other hazardous weather conditions at my discretion
PLEASE know that I closely monitor weather conditions days before and ALL DAY the day of leading up to your session time and I will remain in communication with you throughout the process. I understand that many families are traveling, coordinating schedules, and making plans around their session. My goal is never to cancel unnecessarily, but rather to make the best decision possible based on real-time conditions at the beach.
Because weather forecasts can change significantly throughout the day, a final decision may not be made until a few hours before your scheduled session time.
If a session must be canceled due to weather and a reschedule cannot be agreed upon, your booking fee will be refunded in its entirety immediately. I do not offer indoor or alternate locations.
My goal is always to provide the best possible experience and images while keeping clients safe, comfortable, and informed.
