You remember me saying how much I love fluffy baby hair, right?! Okay, just checking.

I could not wait to meet this sweet little guy! Big sister had the most AMAZING fluffy hair when she came in for her newborn session, so naturally I had high hopes for baby brother… and he did not disappoint! That hair, those sweet little features, and the most perfect little smiles!

I seriously love when 2- and 3-year-olds come into the studio because you really never know what you’re going to get. Big sister definitely didn’t disappoint! She brought her silly little personality with her, and I love that you can see so much of it in the photos. Those are always some of my favorites—the ones that capture who they are right now.

Such a sweet family, the cutest siblings, and yes… more fluffy baby hair for me to obsess over.

I will not apologize for this photo dump. There are way too many good photos, and I can’t not share them!

I will say it all the time, fluffy baby hair is my absolute favorite. Wash your baby’s hair that morning to give it some extra volume. It makes the cuteness even better!

Seriously, the sweetest family and the most beautiful girls ever. I loved getting to photograph them and all these sweet little details.

I truly love getting to photograph your families and document these special moments. Babies change so fast, and I want you to have these photos to look back on.

I loved photographing this sweet family!

One of my FAVORITE things about my current studio is something so simple… standing photos! If you remember my old Bettendorf studio, the ceilings were just barely over 7 feet, so standing family photos weren’t really an option.

Now I have the space AND the light, and I seriously love what it has added to newborn galleries. Especially lately with toddlers! Sometimes standing, snuggling, moving around, and letting them be themselves is exactly how I get the best smiles.

And can we please appreciate the photo of big sister just DONE with pictures while big brother happily holds his baby sister?!

Those are the photos I LOVE when families choose. Of course we want the smiling-at-the-camera family photo, but give me the toddler moments too. The pouts. The silliness. The “I’m over this” moments. That’s real life at this age, and just imagine pulling that photo out when they’re 16 and showing them how they behaved at their new baby sister’s newborn session.

Perfect photos are beautiful. But the ones with a little personality? Those usually end up being the most fun to remember.

One of the sweetest parts of waiting for your baby is wondering what they’ll look like. Will they have Dad’s smile? Mom’s eyes? A perfect little mix of both?

This little guy gave us the CUTEST smiles while he was snuggled up with Mom and Dad, and you can already tell exactly where his favorite place is.

Those tiny features change so quickly, and that’s one of my favorite things about newborn photos—they capture all those little details right at the very beginning.

Oh, bother… how am I supposed to pick just a few favorites from this Winnie the Pooh cake smash?!

This sweet girl was FULL of personality from start to finish! And can we talk about those adorable pre-cake photos by the windows?! She was absolutely precious—and apparently those little wooden spoons were just as exciting as the cake.

Such a fun session for the sweetest little hunny! It’s nearly impossible to share just a few when they’re all this cute!
