Photographing your friends, especially on their wedding day, is a high-pressure experience. Thankfully, all of my friends are drop dead gorgeous and insanely photogenic which eases some of that pressure.

There was a little bit of a rush before Rachel and Dave’s ceremony but when I saw her for the first time, I had her pause where she was standing in the hallway because the light at that moment was 🤌🏻

Dave followed all of my weird instructions like a champ. “Put your chin down just a little - wait, no, back up a little - relax those shoulders - now strut towards me - not too much of a strut, it’s not Saturday Night Fever - don’t forget to move your arms - look at me, look up, look down!” Needless to say, he understood the assignment.

Doug and Shelly’s wedding was extra special because I grew up across the road from Doug’s parents and have known the family nearly all my life - ask his nephews where they hid their little sister while I was babysitting (they put her in the dryer and yes, she is totally fine 🤣)

The last image is from a quick visit to see Doug’s mother at the nursing home…that is her rosary and the rose came from Shelly’s bouquet. The visit was brief but it was a beautiful moment that I will never forget.

Kori’s senior session was one of the easiest to date! She was so chill, easy to work with, and a natural in front of the camera which makes for easy editing.

Best of luck to my goddaughter and her teammates running at the OHSAA state track meet today! That’s her with the pink tape and black socks. She qualified in the 200m dash and the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays…this girl is seriously fast!

I took this picture on my street the other night when it was foggy outside. No fancy lighting tricks…just my iPhone and a little knowledge of how to use filters and adjustments to my advantage.

Maybe next time I’ll set up a timer for a self portrait, or I’ll use a neighbor as my subject.
