Some sessions just feel extra special, and this one definitely did. When Ellie reached out to me to take their pictures, I couldn’t wait to see how much Colton’s grown and how Ellie was doing since I saw her a few months ago.

Ellie and Colton are such an incredible mom-and-son duo — full of joy, connection, and the sweetest energy together. I’ve watched Ellie grow up right before my eyes, and seeing the beautiful life she and her family have built makes capturing moments like these even more meaningful. I’ve been blessed to take pictures for her since her high school days and seeing her thrive in her adult life makes me so happy.

At tonight’s session at Greenville Park, we also celebrated this amazing boy turning SIX with some extra shots all his own - a whole first‑grader now, with the brightest smile and the biggest heart.

Happy 6th Birthday, Colton.

Oh, my goodness! What an absolutely beautiful proposal I was honored to capture this evening at the gorgeous Wegerzyn Gardens in Dayton, Ohio. Hayden Bush and his stunning girlfriend (now fiancee') Kaitlyn make such a lovely couple! They are high-school sweethearts, and Hayden had this evening planned out with every detail meant just for her - including rose petals and a bouquet that I picked up for him from Bloomin' on Broadway in Greenville. We almost had a little boy join in the festivities as he wanted to check out the fountain, but his mama came to the rescue after I told her that something special was happening at that very moment! Have to shift gears quickly with photography! :)

A little backstory - I taught Hayden's mom, Nickie, and when she reached out to me to see if I was available, I immediately said, "YES!" I love LOVE!

This is the season for celebrating post-secondary education, and I love it when a client reaches out to me to document their success! I took Shanna's pictures for her portfolio last year, and tonight I had the pleasure to capture a few pictures of her celebrating her graduation from Ivy Tech.

This busy woman does it all: works full-time, raises children, and is getting ready for her next step at IWU.

Like I've stated before, it's ALWAYS a good idea to celebrate accomplishments, regardless of age, and especially when one works hard to achieve their goals.
