ONE. WHOLE. YEAR.

September 10th marks exactly one year since I decided to stop hiding behind the camera and actually start pushing Cory Benoit Photography out into the world.

And honestly… looking back, it’s kind of crazy.

For about two years, this was basically just Facebook photo storage. 😂 I took pictures because I loved it. I kept learning, kept shooting, and slowly started getting better.

Then a year ago, I finally decided to make it public.

I started promoting myself. I started taking on people I didn't know. I stepped way outside my comfort zone and put my work out there for people to judge, appreciate, criticize, and—hopefully—love.

And then something happened…

People started coming.

I got better.
The business got bigger.
The opportunities got bigger.
And somehow, people started believing in my work enough to trust me with their memories.

I can't even properly explain how thankful I am for that.

I'm especially thankful I didn't listen to the part of me that was scared to put myself out there again.

Because if I had stayed comfortable, I wouldn't be sitting here one year later looking at everything this has become.

So to every person who has booked me, shared my posts, recommended me, trusted me, followed along, or simply stopped to look at something I've created…

Thank you. Seriously.

This started with me taking pictures.

Now it's something I'm genuinely proud to call my business.

And we're just getting started. ❤️
