I enjoyed yesterday's walk through Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva, IL. The 200 acre property not only features walking and biking paths winding along the Fox River but also remnants of the early 20th century estate of George and Nelle Fabyan, including their historic home, a windmill, Japanese Garden and a concrete & metal bear cage for their bears!

Birding...I never thought I'd be into birding, especially in Door County where there is so much else to do! But the truth is, I love it! And I spend a lot of time doing it. Not only is it relaxing, it's like a treasure hunt! You never know what you'll find and when you do find something rare, at least rare to you, it feels like winning a little prize! Here are my week's "little prizes" from Weborg Point at Peninsula State Park and beyond...
