The USDA is considering a reorganization that could shut down nine U.S. Forest Service regional offices, threatening the future of our public lands.

Since February, the USDA has already lost more than 16,000 employees, including recreation staff and wildland fire experts. This puts both conservation and public safety at risk. Closing regional offices would further weaken the Forest Service’s ability to care for our forests, trails, water, wildlife, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

• Northern Region – Missoula, MT
• Rocky Mountain Region – Lakewood, CO
• Southwestern Region – Albuquerque, NM
• Intermountain Region – Ogden, UT
• Pacific Southwest Region – Vallejo, CA
• Pacific Northwest Region – Portland, OR
• Southern Region – Atlanta, GA
• Eastern Region – Milwaukee, WI
• Alaska Region – Juneau, AK
