Just got back from a weeklong cruise to Alaska and missing it already! I’m definitely made for the mountains.

Rueben and I took a last minute tour of Ketchikan and this guy (gal?) was right above us on the tree! He even looked down at us as we walked under him. It was amazing.

Happy holidays!

This past weekend my husband and I went to and it was great! We spent two full days hiking, seeing beautiful desert and mountain scenes, and lots of birds!

This cactus wren was so loud! I guess it really wanted me to take its picture, and I happily obliged.

Such a great weekend with amazing people!

S’mores, campfire, beautiful scenery, and a steep hike up to such an awesome view. you are the best.

If you look closely at pic 9, you can see the little house on the bottom left and the orange tents on the top right - we hiked from the house (bathrooms) to the tents!

I’ve been so bad at posting on social media lately! Life has thrown us a lot of curveballs in the past few months including Rueben having health issues and me tearing my meniscus, amongst other things.
Today he and I finally took a photo of ourselves to really see the difference we’ve made since changing our lifestyle. The pic on the right was taken in March when we went to Hawaii, and the pic on the left was taken today. Since July Rueben is down 60 lbs and I’m down almost 30! It feels so good to really see the difference, but it feels great knowing that we aren’t just dieting or doing this temporarily, we really have changed our lifestyle. We’re consistently eating healthier and have incorporated working out into our daily routines.
Now that my knee is hurt I’ve had to pause, but I’m ready to get back to some modified workouts. Any suggestions are welcome!
