Two weeks ago, these two tied the knot in the most elegant celebration.

The love, energy, and joy that filled every part of the day was unforgettable, and I think that’s a reflection of the bride and groom. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.

One of my favorite pictures you’ll see here is Luke’s family cheering as he and his mom exited the dance floor after their mother/son dance. It perfectly captures the spirit of the day.

Every meaningful moment was met with that same enthusiasm and celebration by the couple, their family, and their friends. It brought so much joy to witness.

This year I made a goal that felt impossible to me: do a real push-up.

At first I could barely do a couple on my knees. I almost gave up after a couple weeks until the owner of the gym, Zach Metzner, told me he had complete confidence I would get there. He acted like it was no big deal, that it would definitely happen, which gave me the confidence boost I needed. I would hear his voice in my head whenever I would start to doubt myself.

Month after month I kept practicing, then one random day, I decided to just try a real push-up out of the blue… and somehow, I did it. My shock + excitement brought me to tears at the end.

This season of life has been one of the hardest. It can be easy to focus on the things I don’t have or the prayers that haven’t been answered yet. Every day I’m trying my best to focus on gratitude and trust that God’s plans for my life are bigger and better than anything I could imagine for myself.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, I’m also reminded how much freedom and opportunity we’ve been given because of the sacrifice of others. Grateful feels like an understatement today. Thank you to those who gave everything for this country. ❤️

Studio newborn shoot with the sweetest family. I love the background noise of the little girls giggling and playing shoe store at the end. Excited to go through all of these photos!! We got some good ones for sure!
