We have had a great start to our new Junior High Summer Lifting Program!

We have had more than 40 students attend each day this week as incoming 5th–8th graders have been putting in the work, learning proper techniques, building strength, and encouraging one another.

The program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00–9:00 a.m., and we are excited to see so many students taking advantage of this opportunity to stay active and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Keep up the great work, Panthers! 🐾

Last week, two of our Odyssey of the Mind teams, Luckey Charmz and Epic OMers, traveled to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in Iowa, joining teams from across the United States and around the world.

In addition to competing, our students participated in Opening Ceremonies, traded pins with students from other countries, and connected with their Buddy Team from Switzerland, cheering each other on throughout the event.

The Luckey Charmz impressed with their engineering skills, building a structure that weighed just 17.9 grams and held an incredible 395 pounds! The Epic OMers earned praise from judges for their creative presentation, colorful costumes and scenery, and outstanding epic poem narration.

When the final results were announced, the Epic OMers placed 33rd out of 61 teams, while the Luckey Charmz placed 27th out of 46 teams in the world!

We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, creativity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. They represented Pike-Delta-York, our community, and the state of Ohio with excellence throughout the week.

Congratulations to both teams on their amazing accomplishments!

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with our local law enforcement agency to help teach important safety lessons that extend beyond the classroom. Working together, we can help students build safe habits that protect them both at school and throughout our community.
Thank you to our police department and everyone involved in making this valuable program possible! 🐾 💚

Today was all about celebrating dedication, commitment, and the people behind the work.
During our staff recognition luncheon, we honored employees reaching years of service milestones and recognized our retirees for their many contributions to Pike-Delta-York Local Schools. Together, these individuals represent hundreds of years of service to our students, families, and community. Their impact can be seen in classrooms, hallways, offices, buses, cafeterias, and beyond.
Thank you for helping make PDY a place where students can learn, grow, and succeed. Congratulations to all of our honorees! 💚 🐾

Today, we are honored to recognize six incredible members of the Panther family as they begin their well-earned retirement.
Together, these dedicated individuals have contributed an astounding 205 years of service to Pike-Delta-York Local Schools. They have taught, supported, mentored, encouraged, coached, inspired, and cared for generations of students. While their years of service can be measured, the impact they have made on our schools, our students, and our community cannot.

Please join us in celebrating our retirees and thanking them for their commitment to PDY. We wish them happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in the years ahead. Once a Panther, always a Panther! 💚🐾
