One thing my couples tell me they didn’t expect...
They didn’t realize how much they wouldn’t have to think about photos on their wedding day.
Before the wedding, we build a timeline together.
We talk through lighting, family photos, sunset, travel time, and all the little details that can make the day feel rushed.
Then when the wedding day arrives, you get to be present.
You laugh.
You hug your people.
You marry your best friend.
And I’ll quietly keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Sometimes this job comes full circle in the sweetest ways. 🤍
A couple of years ago, I met Ashley at a wedding networking event.
In the middle of chatting, she casually mentioned that I’d actually photographed her wedding...
“Wait... what?!”
I was the second photographer that day, so I hadn’t spent much time with the two of them beyond a few moments here and there. I couldn’t believe we’d already crossed paths before.
Then we realized we lived just a few minutes apart.
We planned to grab coffee... which quickly turned into ice cream because Ashley doesn’t drink coffee, and honestly, I’m never going to say no to ice cream. 🍦
Since then, I’ve loved getting to know her—not just as an incredibly talented wedding planner, but as a friend.
So when she told me they were expecting their first baby and asked if I’d photograph this new season for them...
I couldn’t have been more honored.
Getting to tell the stories of the same people through different chapters of life is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. Weddings are just the beginning.

🌸 Bridesmaids, here’s one tiny thing you can do that will save time on the wedding day…

After photographing more than 140 weddings, here’s one little tip that makes bridal party portraits go so much smoother.

Before it’s time for photos, make sure someone knows where all the bouquets are—and if they’ve been sitting in water, have a towel handy to gently dry the stems.

It sounds so small, but I’ve seen bridal parties spend 5-10 minutes searching for bouquets and then another few minutes trying to keep water from dripping onto everyone’s dresses.

Those few minutes may not sound like much, but on a wedding day, every minute counts.

It’s one of those tiny details that helps everyone stay relaxed and keeps the timeline moving. 🤍

Tag your bridesmaids so they can add this to their mental wedding-day checklist. 🌸

“If everything doesn’t go perfectly, there’s no point.”
Is one of the biggest lies parents believe is.

Life had other plans for this session.
We had less time than we expected.
The sun didn’t wait for us.

But this sweet little guy still laughed.
Mom and Dad still snuggled him.
They still chased waves.
They still made memories together.

And honestly...
I think these might be some of my favorite images because of it.

Your family doesn’t need a perfect evening.
They just need each other. 🤍

Fourteen years ago today, we promised forever.
Fourteen years later, I know marriage isn’t built in grand gestures nearly as much as it’s built in ordinary Tuesdays.
Every wedding I photograph reminds me that a wedding day is just page one.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to photograph the same families year after year. 🤍
Every session tells a slightly different story.

This year, I loved watching the little moments unfold...
A little sister stopping to fix her big sister’s hair.
A curly-haired toddler who needed a few minutes before deciding I wasn’t so bad after all.

Parents who happily chased, played, explored, and scooped up little ones all around Leu Gardens.

Those little in-between moments are often my favorite because they’re the ones that become memories years from now.

And can we talk about Leu Gardens for a second? It gave us the most beautiful backdrop... and somehow we squeezed this session in just before the afternoon Florida storms rolled through. 🌦️

Thank you for trusting me to capture another chapter of your family’s story. It’s always a joy seeing you all again. 🤍

Behind every gallery delivered and every email you receive is a little bit of real life.
A math lesson happening beside my laptop.
Kids building epic Magna-Tile creations.
Afternoons spent poolside with my family.
I’m so thankful I get to serve amazing clients while also being present for these everyday moments with my own kids. I truly don’t take either one for granted. 🤍

Summer sessions in Florida require a little strategy. 😂
When the forecast says, “Afternoon thunderstorms,” sometimes that means moving a session up an hour and making a very quick exit.
Coffee? ✔️
Water? ✔️
Camera? ✔️
Now all that’s left is beating the rain. ⛈️📷

Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸
Today I’m simply grateful.
Grateful to live in a country where I can worship freely, raise my family, homeschool my kids, build a business I love, and spend my days celebrating the biggest moments in other people’s lives.
Is America perfect? Of course not. No nation is. No family is. Only Jesus is perfect.
But I believe we have so much to be thankful for.
I’m thankful for every man and woman who has sacrificed—whether through years away from their families or by giving their very lives—to protect the freedoms so many of us enjoy every day. Those sacrifices have blessed not only Americans, but countless people around the world.
Today I’m choosing gratitude.
Happy Independence Day, and God bless the USA. ❤️🤍💙

One of the questions I get asked most often is:
“Where should we do our engagement session?”
My answer is almost always...
Choose a place that feels like you.
Kelly & Luke’s blog is live today from the pine forests of Wekiwa Springs, and it was the perfect backdrop for them. We spent almost the entire session in one area, but because they were so playful, relaxed, and completely themselves, every photo feels a little different.
They laughed nonstop, brought the sweetest energy, and even had me laughing right along with them. 🥹
Oh... and those last few minutes when the sun finally peeked through the clouds? Totally worth waiting for. 🌞🤍
