She went to the bar trying to avoid Marines.

And then she cut one in line. 😂

When Alli stepped in front of Cam that night, his response was basically, “If you’re going to cut me in line, at least let me buy you a drink.”

Except she didn’t know he was a Marine. Apparently the T-shirt, shorts, and sandals threw her off, because her first guess was firefighter. 😂

Fast forward through a first date, a proposal back at that very same restaurant, and a whole lot of life together… and yesterday, they stood inside Esme Lane Chapel at Whitewood Ranch and said I do. 🤍

And somehow that story fits them perfectly—fun, easygoing, a little unexpected, and never taking themselves too seriously.

Alli + Cam, yesterday was SO much fun. From your tearful private vows to dancing with your favorite people and ending the night with Luna + Willow, we loved getting to capture it all.

Engagement photos yesterday. Wedding TOMORROW. 🤍

Talk about the best kind of countdown!!

I got to spend yesterday morning wandering around Green Springs with Alli + Cam for their engagement session, and if yesterday was any indication of what tomorrow is going to be like… we are in for SUCH a fun day.

These two are easygoing, playful, and completely willing to laugh at themselves—which, honestly, is one of my favorite combinations to photograph. 😂

And now we get to do it all over again tomorrow… except this time, THEY’RE GETTING MARRIED!! 🥂

✨ My brand-new Family Experience page is LIVE!! ✨

And I honestly can’t think of a more fitting family to share alongside it. 🤍

I first met these Andrew and Keri when they trusted me to photograph their wedding day, then their pregnancy announcement photos. And now, a few years and one very loved little girl later, they reached out for their very first family photos.

And when she told me, essentially, “It had to be you,” because I’d already been there to photograph such an important part of their story... 🥹

Yeah. That got me.

Because THIS is one of my favorite parts of what I get to do.

I love photographing wedding days. But getting to watch a couple become a family—and then being invited back to document the next chapters too? That’s incredibly special to me.

And it’s part of why I’ve been working behind the scenes on a whole new corner of my website just for families.

A place that feels like the way I want your family session to feel: easy, relaxed, connected, and completely YOU.

Because your kids don’t have to behave perfectly.

Your family doesn’t have to look perfect.

You just have to show up and love each other. I’ll take care of the rest. 🤍

The timeline said one thing. Her photo list said another.

By the time the reception started, there were still a few family and friend photos on Kelly’s list that we hadn’t been able to get to.

But she also had a full reception timeline ahead of her—and the last thing I wanted to do was start pulling people away and rearranging a wedding day that wasn’t mine to rearrange.

So I grabbed the list and checked in with her.

Which of these photos still really matter to you? And when would you like me to sneak you away to make them happen?

Because sometimes my job isn’t to decide what’s most important.

It’s to notice what’s competing for your attention, make sure nothing important quietly gets missed, and give you the information you need to decide.

A timeline matters. A shot list matters.

But the people those things belong to matter more. 🤍

There’s just something about a wedding day with a little history in the background. 🤍

Cara & Raheem filled Northwest Square on Saturday with so much joy—from getting ready surrounded by old brick and vintage details, to walking through those wrought iron gates into their courtyard ceremony, to laughing with their favorite people on the church steps.

And then there were the quieter pieces tucked in between—the way these two looked at each other, the sweet dances with their son and mom, and those few moments we stole away around the church for just the two of them.

Historic brick, white arches, winding staircases, a gorgeous courtyard… and a whole lot of people incredibly happy to see these two married.

There’s just something about this little courtyard at Villa Festa. 🤍

The fountain, the old live oaks, the ferns growing right out of the trees, the sunlight filtering through everything… it feels like you stumbled into a tiny Italian villa without ever leaving DeLand.

And as a photographer, give me beautiful light + old trees + a courtyard with this much character and I am VERY happy. 😍

Villa Festa is such a hidden little gem in Central Florida… and one I would absolutely love to photograph again.

Friday confession:

If I tell you, “Okay, ONE more!” during your session…

Do not believe me. 😂

I genuinely mean it when I say it. I really do.

But then we take the picture and I see another spot five feet away. Or the light changes. Or you do something adorable. Or I suddenly think, “WAIT. What if we did THIS?!”

And somehow “one more” becomes 10 more.

So if you hear me say it, just smile and nod.

We both know I’m lying to myself at this point. 😂

A little peek at an incredible day at the CFWA Summit! 💙

There’s just something special about getting a room full of wedding professionals together… learning from each other, laughing together, making new connections, catching up with old friends, and leaving with a whole lot of new ideas.

So grateful to be part of such a talented (and FUN!) wedding community here in Central Florida.

And the Waldorf Astoria Orlando certainly wasn’t a bad place to spend the day either. 😍

What happens when you stop asking what a wedding is “supposed” to look like and start planning around what actually feels like you?

You get Luke & Kelly’s wedding... and it’s live on the blog! 💛

A Monday afternoon at Northwest Square filled with their favorite people, nods to their theater days, a Lemonade Hour, board games, friendship bracelets, kids everywhere, plenty of laughter, a little frolicking 😉 and a ribbon-wand sendoff to end the night.

It wasn’t a wedding built around checking off traditions just because you’re “supposed” to do them.

It was built around their people, their personalities, and the things they actually enjoy.

And THAT is what made it so much fun to photograph.
