Ollie was our first foster from Australian Shepherds Furever we obviously failed as he is so sweet and loved Cooper. He and Cooper helped us foster 10 more Aussies.

Melvin came from soul dog rescue out of New Mexico. He suffers from the condition that makes Scottish Folds unique. He is living his best pain free life."

"We like to joke that Sully IS Pavlov's dog. He is very observant and conditioned to sounds and actions. He knows the sound on our phone that means someone is at the door, he knows the sounds of our individual cars coming up the street, he knows if you open a certain drawer or cabinet that it usually means a treat, outside time, a walk, etc. He also really likes to boop things with his nose when he wants something... usually a stool in the kitchen to get your attention, then sits pretty and begs for a treat.

When Sully's older sister was diagnosed with cancer, we knew it was time for us to find a puppy to help him (and us) through our grief when the time came. He and his sister Ketzi were very bonded and he has never gotten along with any other dogs. "We got Moose from as a puppy. When we saw him with his litter mates, he was the only one not begging for attention and was sitting in the back super chill like. Moose grew into a gentle giant, he is a big boy with a gentle nature. Moose is a super chill dog and on occasion likes to snag household items (he loves remotes) and bring them into his crate. "Mezi HATED his sister for about a month after we got her. The first day we brought her home, he threw tantrum after tantrum huffing and growling annoyed to have another pup in the house. Mind you, we do Rover on the side so he was used to having other dogs around. But, somehow he just knew this one was here to stay. Anyway, Caly eventually takes a nap in the kennel and starts snoring (which she does to this day). Mezi had fallen asleep on the other side of the room and wakes up from a dead sleep from her snoring to glare at Cal sleeping and then swiveled his head to glare at us for the audacity of bringing this loud puppy into the house.

About a month later, and they were the best of friends! You’d never think that happened with how inseparable they are!
Mezi - We’ve got Mez as a 4-month old puppy when we lived in TN. He was from a hoarding situation and he was super sick. The vet legitimately tried to ease us into putting him down, but we pushed forward and he is now almost 9 years old.

Caly - Cal is our COVID pup. She’s from Soul Dog rescue in Fort Lupton and full of sass. She knows how to read a room and find the sucker to give her the most pets. Her big brown eyes and half cocked ear are the perfect draw to convince anyone that she’s never been pet (never mind the monthly Chewy delivery and orthopedic dog beds spread around the house)." -Sam .denlinger

"degrees outside. She was adopted from the Denver Animal Shelter. Apollo was adopted from a rescue in 2020 during Covid and was the littlest cutest cuddle bug who grew and grew into a giant "small dog" cuddle bug. Meera was adopted from a rescue in 2013. Maple is from a breeder in Southern Colorado and was given to me by my mom as a birthday present after my previous heart dog died very traumatically and she put my broken heart pieces back together the moment I saw her. Maple and Lyra are both training to be therapy dogs. My 2nd grade class is obsessed with them and love watching them on the daycare camera as class reward times. Apollo will steal any and all available blankets he sees and make a little fort with them. Meera is the most loyal, sweetest dog in the entire world. She always listens and always does exactly what she's supposed to do." - Tara

Alex was born to one of our neighbors when we lived in Genesee. Her two Miniature Schnauzers had a liter and he was going to go to her parents. Ultimately, that was not a good fit. Our friend asked us if we would like to have him and we initially said NO! We both worked down in Denver and would not be able to care for a puppy appropriately. Fortunately, we lived in a community where our friends were retired and they said they would help us raise him!!! So ... we said yes. He came to us as a seven-week-old puppy and the rest is history!
Alex has led a life of luxury and travel. From six months old, he has spent Christmas in San Antonio, Texas, with the Neeper Family! He has vacationed in multiple Four Seasons Hotels. He is a frequent guest at the Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, where he participated in Halloween and celebrations for Dios de los Mu***os. And, he touched sand and the Pacific Ocean in a recent trip to the Hotel del Coronado! He is loved by many and they know it by the greeting he gives them (IYKYK).
