I'm old enough to remember that my first few cameras were film. I had a couple 35mm and a handful of 110. The great thing about digital photography, unlike those film days, is that it gives a photographer room to experiment and learn and grow, simply because there is no film to develop and waste. I can take 100 pictures and change settings on each one. I'll end up saving a couple and disposing of the rest but in the end, I've probably learned and gotten a few shots as well that I'm really happy with. Don't be afraid to play with the camera settings on your phone!
