It's fine. πŸ˜‚ I know that come January, around the time this 360 pano was taken, I'll be missing this comfortable autumn chill. πŸŽƒπŸ‚πŸ

It had been 2 years since our last visit to this park at the time we took these 360 photos. The first time was our first date.
We thought the album cover poses *absolutely* necessary. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž

Here's a couple more tiny planets from last year! 🌎🌏

We particularly like the one with the rock. This tiny planet was shot at Deer Creek Canyon in May 2020. During the very final days of that month, America was in protest over the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless other Black Americans. The distinct fist-like shape of the rock when reframed this way reminds us strongly of the raised, clenched fist of the Black Lives Matter movement and this tumultuous point in the history of our time. ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼✊🏽

A trio of tiny planets from last summer 🌞🌼 -

1.) Van camping for Cory's birthday nestled comfortably in the trees. πŸŒ²β›ΊοΈ
2.) From an early morning hike at Golden Gate Canyon State Park in July.
3.) The hike that started it all! Our very first hike with the 360 camera. πŸ₯° πŸ“· Taken at Deer Creek Canyon State Park.

Sometimes we find it particularly difficult to choose the best perspective to share our tiny planets from! 🌍🌎
Take this one for example - do you prefer the vertical or horizontal reframing?? πŸ€”

Over that past few years, plant identification has become a favorite part of our hikes πŸ§πŸŒ±πŸŒΈπŸ„πŸŒΎ

You can probably guess that the yellow flower is from the Prickly Pear cactus, but what do you know about the lovely orangey-red Indian Paintbrush? This plant is particularly interesting in that it is a hemiparasite, meaning it gets a good bit of its nutrients through the roots of other nearby plants! A favorite of hummingbirds, it also attracts bees and other insects. Why is this interesting? Because insects don't see red very well! ❀️🐝 Who knew!?
