We pulled up to this spot and it was raining, it was overcast, it was damp… I wasn’t sure we’d make this one work. 😳 But while the rain let up a little we figured we get out and snap some photos and see if we could get a few before completely rescheduling. As we went into the meadow the sun started to peek out, the humidity highlighted each ray, and the night cleared just enough for us to make the session happen! Best part? We were wrapping up and this thick fog started to move over the valley like sometimes I’ve never seen, and added to the unique way this session came together! Oh Colorado, you keep me guessing don’t you? 😅.

This session was so unexpectedly beautiful. I think what really added to it was the chance to photograph at such a unique location (the Black Cat ) and with the sweetest couple announcing their pregnancy. It had all the makings of an experience that I’ll remember for a good long while, including clients that integrate things that are meaningful (a cherished family quilt, dad’s childhood teddy bear, peaches for the season, and an ultrasound announcing what’s to come) while being truly themselves. And pigs. Don’t forget the pigs.
