The magic that can happen when you’re down for the adventure and don’t reschedule your shoot due to some “drizzle weather forecast”.

Yes, the lighting was real. No, the forecast didn’t say thunderstorm. We were just at the right place at the right time. Forever in awe that we got to capture that! 😭

We met at a double date at a Denver beer garden, became friends, and then I got to be there through all of their big moments: their wedding day; finding out their family was growing; having a quiet creative girl time at their home; and them together waiting for baby boy…to now finally holding him in her arms – can’t wait to share more of these soon.

Getting to be there through it all?
That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Whether you come to me as a client or a friend – I see you the same way: Someone trusting me with their life, their memories, their story. And that will always mean everything to me.

The beginning of a wedding day always feels like its own little world.
Music playing.
Dresses hanging.
Champagne popping in the bathtub (as it should be).
There’s laughter… a few nerves…
and all these tiny moments building up to something big.
Her mom helping her into the dress.
Her dad seeing her for the first time.
Him, being wheeled over by his groomsmen like it’s the best day of his life (because it is).
And then the first look—
and the way his face said everything before words even could.
These are the moments that hold the entire day together.
And fun fact… she’s now a wedding content creator 🥹

We had picked the perfect location but once I got there I realized the spot was on full on construction (!!!!).

I had shot there so many times before + I did my research and no construction was mentioned anywhere. They were already on their way. Oh no…

I remembered of a nearby spot I had shot at once but I didn’t want to call my client, because I knew he was in the car with his soon to be fiancé. So I texted him - and prayed it didn’t show the text to her on CarPlay - and somehow he managed to check the texts and drive to the new location. She was still CLUELESS.

Oooof. We did it!!

Some moments feel quiet… but hold everything.
Their ceremony wasn’t loud or rushed—
it was intentional, grounded, and so full of meaning.
And then, just like that,
they were married.
We stepped away for a few minutes after—
no big production, just the majestic red rocks and space to breathe it in together,
letting it all sink in 🤍
