What does a child learn when they witness birth?

That birth can be powerful without being frightening.
That their mother is capable of extraordinary things.
That love can look like a steady, calm, presence.

And while they may not remember every detail, I do think they move forward with the quiet knowledge that our births don’t need to be something that we dread or fear. Rather: our births can be one of the very best days of our life.
