(posted this on my fb wall but would like it here as well!)
To all of my photography/videography friends out there... I just thought of something while looking through my pics.. Often times we are the ones to take photos but we are often NOT in them ourselves.
I mean, I make no claim to be a pro at photography but my short time as a photographer, I look through my collection of photos and I realize that I have very few of myself. Not that I hate being in front of the camera but I just don't have time for personal shoots. When I need a new photo for facebook or something like that, search and search and see that all my photos are from crappy cellphone pics or were taken by other people and are still on their devices.
So, I want to do this... a 15 day, half a month(maybe longer), love yourself challenge for photographers/videographers. For 15 days, you have to take at least one photo of yourself and share it. Photographers spend so much time thinking of how to highlight other people's lives that we sometimes forget to highlight our own.
I don't have specifics for this type of challenge but would say that it has to be new one everyday. For the next few weeks, I will be taking my Nikon with me everywhere to bang out some ideas for this challenge. During or at the end of the challenge, I would suggest you nominate one of your friends who often times are "behind the camera"
