A little update! Between my kids being sick, being sick myself, and the weather, I’ve had to reschedule more sessions than I ever anticipated this fall.

With the time change coming up and sunset getting earlier, my availability for evening sessions will be even more limited. Unfortunately, I simply don’t have enough time left to fit everyone back in before the fall season ends. That means having to cancel and refund some sessions that were already booked, which truly breaks my heart.

I know you’ve planned around these photos, and I’m so sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience. If your session is affected, I’ll reach out personally. Thank you for your patience and kindness during a really challenging season 🫶🏼

Happy Monday!

I saw this on tiktok and thought it would be fun to start sharing random little things to look forward to each week. Idk about you but I love having things to look forward to, whether it be big or small!

Starting with something dangerous for my wallet: Hobby Lobby has Christmas AND fall decor 50% off this week 😂

Downtown Farmers’ Market: Saturday, October 24, 8 a.m.–noon in the Historic Court District. Only two market Saturdays left this season!

On Thursday, the Netflix show Nobody Wants This returns and I'm SO excited 😆

Hallmark countdown to Christmas starts this Friday and has 34 new movies!

Lots of a trunk or treats are happening this week and are completely free! A few of them: Ankeny Christian Church, Dewey Brothers - Waukee, Lutheran Hope in Ames

BOOtanical Garden Eerie Evenings: October 23–25, 6–9 p.m. at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. Costumes encouraged! Tickets are $14 adults and $11 youth

Starbucks is releasing a new drink Thursday! The Black Cat Frappuccino 🎃 sounds like a fun little treat for the kids (or yourself)

I’ve had so many fun ideas for fall and Christmas sessions this year, but between weather, illness, and trying to fit in reschedules, I just haven’t been able to bring them all to life.

It’s hard when my creative brain wants to do everything, but my calendar says no 😂 I’m so thankful for everyone keeping me busy and being flexible through this season. Some ideas will have to wait, but I’m saving them for next year!
