When the dog wakes you up at 5 to so she can eat at 6 and you finally decide to feed her...AT 6, you get up and take pictures of the moon. Because what is the point of trying to get any sleep...sometimes I hate my dog...Yes. I said it! Anyway, here is what i got of the super moon.

Well, here are a few from the falls. I didn't have my tripod and I didn't have a filter for my smaller lens, so these are the best I could do. They are really pretty! If you get a chance, you should see them. The whole park is really nice!

Rob and I went out to scope a couple places for star trails. As were heading out the sunset was just gorgeous and of course we saw deer all over! And also of course, I hadn't taken my camera! But this was the sunset on Saylorville Lake tonight.
God is an amazing artist!

Well, it has been a while since I tried any star trails, so since it was so clear tonight I decided to set up on the deck. Again, not the best location to do something like this, but someday I will find a nice place. Until then, I was pretty happy with how this turned out!

Happy Friday!! I have to admit, I do NOT like spiders at all. Don't get me wrong, I know they do good things like killing other bugs and such but I do not in any way, shape or form, have a fondness for them. That being said, the owner of the web I took pictures of last night was home this morning. So, I face my fear and decided to take a few pictures of it. I have to admit, it honestly turns my stomach! But it is kind of a cool picture. And the moon was visible. not full but still, it is so pretty!!

Rob was watering the front baskets and I noticed a perfect spider's web! Not my usual photos, but I do like using my macro lens!

It's been a while since I've tried any moon photos but when I let the dog out this morning, there it was. Just so big and on the horizon, so I tried. I didn't change my settings so it isn't as good as it should be. Maybe tonight/tomorrow I will try again. But here's the "blue moon".

We took Sandi for a walk to the butterfly garden at Saylorville. We actually saw quite a few Monarchs!! I was quite happy to see that. I usually go to early to see any.

Well, these are not Earth shattering or award winning, Rob saw a hawk on our fence while he was cooking dinner!

This poor guy was in the garden this evening. Looking a little rough around the edges.

A beautiful day to spend a bit of time in the garden. I saw 2 little ladies today and at least 1 male. I didn't get the picture of the 2 together or the male, but it is always fun to be out there and watching them. They do make me smile!

After we went so Rob could disc golf, we went out to see what the spillway at Saylorville looked like. I guess Saylorville lake is supposed to crest Sunday. There is already water in the overflow. It was so crazy to see how much water was coming out the spillway!
