Things I Wish I Knew Before I Became a Photographer (Part I)

1. Social media will feel abusive (unless you say f the algo like me).
2. People will pretend to be your friend (and you never stop falling for it).
3. You’ll need a backup of everything (and I literally mean two of everything).
4. The actual cost of an arm and a leg (has anyone figured this out?).
5. Boundaries, shmoundaries (actual client POV).

Being a photographer isn’t all beautiful shots and golden hour vibes. Sometimes, it’s harsh truths and learning things the hard way. If you’re in this field or thinking about it, here’s a bit of real talk on what I’ve picked up along the way.

And yes, it’s still worth it. ✨
