Taking a quick break from my pre-Thanksgiving editing marathonnn to share these super fun photos of Haysley in my "Grandma's Living Room" retro holiday set (which is loosely inspired by my own memories of decorating my grandma's house with her every year for Christmas) in my studio! I was thrilled when reached out right as I was finishing up this set build to ask if she could come shoot in my space with her amazing model who she styled SO PERFECTLY with this fun little corset party dress and tinsel tree headpiece (still CANNOT believe you made this Brook ahhhhh its so beautiful). Brook needed a space for her shoot, I needed a model for my set and the stars aligned so beautifully! I love a busy season collab!!!

threw a sexy little Galentine's party in my neighborhood last night! It was at the new wedding venue (where I would LOVE to shoot a couple weddings soooonnnnnn!!!!) and there were so many amazing vendors including some of my all time favorite local artists. If you missed the pop up, be sure to stop in to today to pick your sweetheart or yourself up a little something for this day of love (or self-love, they have a nice lil toy collection 😘). EEEK! I’m so excited to announce Valentine’s Day Invite-Only Sessions happening February 7-9, 2025, at Studio No. 407 in the Fitch Building! 🎀

This set has been a dream of mine for so long. The red velvet backdrop was the very first thing I hung when I moved into the new studio, and it turned out exactly as I envisioned. For the test shoot, I asked my friend and multi-hyphenate creative genius to model—and she also created this gorgeous satiny heart frame that will be ready for you to use during your session.

The vibe for these sessions is old Hollywood glamour: luxury textures like satin, velvet, and lace, retro props like coupe glasses with ch*****ne and maraschino cherries, a vintage pink push-tone phone, and more. I’ll also have a small collection of vintage slips and camisoles available to borrow if you’d like.

Sessions are available at multiple price points (including minis!), and every participant takes home a keepsake Polaroid from the session.

Hi! I haven't been on here in ages but wanted to drop by and share some exciting news!

I was recently awarded my first-ever arts grant, which has enabled me to take a big step I've wanted to take for a long time—leasing my own photo studio. I've officially moved into the Fitch Building in downtown Des Moines.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way to this milestone, especially all the friends who have already visited me at the studio and hyped me up, and most especially to who helped me navigate the grant-writing process and also hauled many heavy and awkward things up to my new space.
