We know you're wondering...yes, the sunflowers look like they're about to fully bloom at Badger Creek (and probably elsewhere!) 🌻🌻🌻

Find a plot near you: iowadnr.gov/doves or use the interactive hunting atlas: https://bit.ly/3G6o0Kj (Badger Creek is on the west side of the lake again)

Remember:
Sunflower fields are planted on wildlife management (public hunting) areas as food plots for dove hunting 🌻 We manage state-owned wildlife areas, other areas may be owned by county or federal agencies.

These aren't parks, so bring water, sunscreen and bug spray, and go before you leave home 😉

Pollinators love sunflowers, so be ready to be among bumblebees! 🐝

Visit on weekday mornings when fewer people are there (and it's cooler, whew) 🌞

Buy a habitat fee! It's not required, but it helps fund and support these plantings each year, as well as wildlife management statewide. You can buy them at any fishing and hunting license vendor, through the Go Outdoors Iowa app or online!
