Oh, to be a child again.

to laugh without hesitation, find magic in the small things, smile with your whole soul and never once wonder who’s watching.

There’s something sacred about childhood….The carefree wonder, the untamed joy, the softness of simply being loved and free.

This year, the word that floods my brain surrounding mothers is strength.

I have had the absolute privilege of mothers this year sharing their stories with me during their sessions. Some stories of the beauty of motherhood, other stories of hardships, perseverance, and growth. Each story beautiful. Each story radiant.

It will never cease to amaze me, watching mothers bend, break, stretch, and grow at the mercy of their babies. It’s the most beautiful thing to experience as a mother, and I am so honored to get to capture it for other mothers.

Happy (belated) Mother’s Day to all the mamas, no matter where you are in your journey. 🤍

I remember my oldest turning one and feeling like I had somehow been a mother forever… while also wondering how an entire year could pass in the blink of an eye.

My tiny, squishy baby suddenly had a whole personality of their own. My world had completely changed, and somehow, it all happened so fast.

Getting to capture this sweet girl stepping into her first year brought all of those memories rushing back. There’s just something so special about watching a baby grow into who they’re becoming, and capturing it for a family throughout the whole process 🤍

One of the reasons I adore in home newborn sessions is because it’s like a peek into your new life.

It won’t always feel like this, but it does right now. And capturing the emotions, the intimacy, the rawness of it all is something special, and something worth remembering.

My hope is that, when you look back on your in home newborn session, it feels like you’re peeking into your life at that time, and it floods you with all the feels 🫶🏼
