Take the time to read these. I’ve been talking about this issue for too many years and we continue to do nothing to protect our youth athletes. We don’t even protect adult athletes. Our job as creators is not to make a decision for anybody regarding an image or a video that potentially compromises their integrity.

I’ve looked into the filing, so this is a fact. There are actually more people named as defendants in the lawsuit, including FloWrestling and a local photographer. I’ve not researched the plaintiff, nor have I researched any of the defendants, except knowing of a few of them by name in the sporting space.
But I came on here to say I’ve been talking about this for so many years. If we do not implement policies and procedures at all levels of youth events to protect youth, situations like this could happen. I don’t know if the accusations are true, but the root of the problem, which absolutely could have been avoided, is that we have no media parameters in place. There are no background checks. There are no restrictions. All people have to do is ask to bring a camera and can photograph or record video. In addition, there are no limitations on how the content is used or limitations on how you present youth athletes in the way you photograph them. If I wanted to, I would be allowed to post a compromising picture of a youth athlete without any repercussions because there are no parameters in place for me to abide by my moral integrity to do so.
This isn't exclusive to youth sports. Very few high schools do background checks or have parameters and guidelines that must be followed.
YOU owe it to your sons and daughters to demand change.

A Chicago man who runs a YouTube channel on youth wrestling is suing an Iowa woman for allegedly linking his work to that of pornographers.
