No sound on this reel because I got to ring the bell today! I had my last chemo treatment and tomorrow I’ll have a bone marrow biopsy to see if I’m in remission. My doctors are optimistic and my bloodwork is looking good. This is the last step to moving forward 🤞🏼🤍

I may be a day late and a dollar short but it’s because I was spending the day with the best dad my kids could ever ask for 🤍

Happy Father’s Day to all you amazing dads out there!

We’ve been getting all the moody skies here on 30a - which I do love - but sometimes I need a reminder that it won’t always be gray and cloudy 🌥️

Some personal photos for some personal updates!

Health: I realized I never really shared what my official dx is. I have what's called PGNMID. Don't ask me to write out what that stands for, I can't even pronounce it 😂 Essentially my bone marrow decided to produce toxic protein which in turn injured my kidneys. I say injured instead of destroyed because I've gained back almost 50% of my kidney function, which is honestly insane. At the beginning of the year I was prepared to be on dialysis (even had the surgery for at home peritoneal dialysis) and eventually undergo a transplant.

My hematologist prescribed me a 6 month course of treatment which consists of two little shots in my belly every Friday. It could be so much worse so I'm thankful for this. The hard part is that my treatment is in Birmingham which is 3.5 hours one way. While I don't necessarily feel poorly after my treatments the drive really takes it out of me most days.

The good news is that treatment will be over next month, assuming I'm in remission. The good news is that my kidney function is so much restored that I won't need dialysis or a transplant any time soon. The good news is that I'm feeling like a person who is capable of living life in a beautifully normal and simple way. I'm so thankful for the doctors and the medical staff who have helped me get to this point. And I'm so incredibly thankful for all the prayers and good thoughts coming from this little community I've built. Y'all really are amazing and I could not be more thankful to be connected to you, however distantly.

2026 is almost halfway over and I'm expecting this second half to be so incredibly amazing and healing. Cheers to health!

Listen, I’m no content creator. I’m doing good if I remember to take my lens cap off.

An overcast day at the beach is always better than a day at home 🌊

Not sure how I lucked out with the best job in the world, but I’m thankful I did.
