It was a beautiful day in Seagrove Beach today 😍💦 I was out here looking at the beach where my friend’s daughter is getting married next month. I’m doing her wedding flowers and making a fresh flower arch for the beach ceremony.

Before I moved to Destin in 2014, I spent more than 20 years in the fresh flower business—10 years managing high volume flower shops and 10 years owning my own shop. Flowers have always been one of my favorite things, and I’ve still done an occasional event here and there over the years.

I’m excited about this wedding and will share some photos when it’s all finished. With the rental season slowing down a bit in fall, I’ve been thinking it might be nice to start doing a few small beach weddings again. It feels good to be working with flowers again lately 🌺🌸🌷🌼

I spent the day exploring Grayton Beach today. I camped at Grayton Beach State Park last night, then rode my bike everywhere for the rest of the day.

My first stop was Raw & Juicy and I loved it so much that I stayed for hours. I love a coffee shop where you can still get your coffee in a ceramic mug. I also had the Boursin crepe, which was amazing. The outdoor backyard area was so adorable.

Next stop was the beach at Grayton Beach State Park. The water was gorgeous. Next stop was the Red Bar. I love all the colorful umbrellas outside.

For dinner I had blackened fish tacos at Chiringo across the street and then ended the day watching sunset back at the state park.

I know 30A can get pretty crowded during the summer, but it was so nice and quiet today. It’s sweltering hot this time of year, but very peaceful. It’s been so long since I’ve been down this way that it felt like I was on vacation.

We had some stormy weather stirring things up this past week, but today was back to calm and looking like a swimming pool. You just never know what the beach will look like from one day to the next. Today was absolutely stunning 💙💙💙

It’s a beautiful morning here on Holiday Isle in Destin☀️🌊 One of my favorite things about this beach is watching the fishing boats in the early morning as they gather bait and prepare to head out for the day—with a few blue herons nearby hoping for breakfast. It’s an experience you’ll only find right here on Holiday Isle🌴🌊

I have a vacation rental on this beach at the Islander Resort in Destin (not to be confused with the Island Resort on Okaloosa Island).

My place is pretty much booked for the rest of this season except a little October availability (unless you are interested in being a monthly winter snowbird). The calendar opens six months in advance, so spring and summer dates will start opening soon.

If my place is full, you can also book directly through the Islander Resort and stay in another condo. It’s really is a special place 💙💙💙

7/23/26 9:05 a.m. 🌊 The wind has calmed down, but there are still big waves and double red flags from Tropical Storm Bertha. The water is closed, but it’s a beautiful sunny day 🙂🚩🚩☀️

I went for a walk out to the jetties tonight to see the waves from Tropical Storm Bertha passing through the Gulf 🌊 Yes… that area with the rushing water is usually sand. The power of nature is pretty amazing to watch! Stay safe 🚩🚩

Rode my bike to Norriego Point tonight to check out the fireworks from these new walkovers, and they did not disappoint. This video was taken from the furthest walkover, which lined up perfectly with the fireworks barge.

It used to be a long walk through the sand to get out this far, so I was often by myself out here on fireworks nights. It’s more accessible now and I enjoy all the people around.

More crazy storm clouds tonight over Destin Harbor 🌊 This storm is supposed to pass through quickly. Today was a beautiful beach day. This is at Dolphin Point condos on holiday aisle. I manage a 2/2 vacation rental here. I will put the link in the comments 😃🌊🏝️⛱️
