Beautiful day at Henderson Beach today. It was our first swim of the year - yes, we are acclimated Floridians. Though we see families swimming in the Gulf in January and February, we can't even get in the water in the Mexican Caribbean in January! The water was 81F today, and just about perfect.
And yes, around 12:30PM on a Monday, the line to enter the park was out to hwy 98 (see photo below). So this new reservation system is actually making things worse. About 1/3rd of the cars in front of us did not have reservations and after arguing with the park volunteers, would have to turn around and leave, as cars backed up... SMH...
