Weird Wednesday! So this is some kind of Cotton Scale insect. At first I thought it was one of those fluffy plant hoppers, or a strange gall, but further research lead me to the existence of Scale insects. It really does look like a tiny cotton fluff stuck to a leaf.

I love finding these tiny Bird’s Nest Fungi.
This little fungi resemble little bird nests, hence the common name Bird’s Nest. Inside the little cup are these little spore filled “eggs” that get flung out of the nest when a rain drop splashes into the cup. They can be expelled up to 3 feet away!

Slime Mold Monday
I believe this is what's known as Wolf's Milk. When you press on these squishy bubbles a pink liquid oozes out. I don't know too much about slime molds yet, but I do find them fascinating.
