Got some shots of an older juvenile flying near the nest. The adult nesting pair chattered but then went about their business bringing sticks to build up their nest.

Very busy day at the island today. We finally got to see both of the eagles working on the nest. They made multiple trips to the waters edge to retrieve “fluff” to put in the bowl of their nest. Looking forward to nesting season that seems to be right on track. 🦅

Confirmed…we saw a large healthy looking coyote off Central Ave, right by the Eagles nest. It was such a surprise, I wasn’t able to get my camera out in time to take a picture. I will be ready next time!!

some pictures from the last few weeks, we have had trips and seen nothing, trips that we have seen defending the nest, fighting off adult and juvenile eagles, and some hunting of course. I fear that we are missing one of our eagles, as we haven't seen them both in weeks, Nancy would disagree, but please keep your eye out for both adults together. (keep in mind it is the time of the year to see "visitors" to the island, eagles are on the move right now. )
