Back in 2019 when we found our first space, Maher suggested we bring back the No Phones shows he used to throw in college. We did a total of 3 No Phones shows at the Eastern Market spot, and they all we’re banging! Encouraging people to put their phones away, and engage in one another created an environment of connection and community. We can’t wait to bring this concept to the new space!

In the Summer of 2019, Big Pink got their first taste of having their own space when Chester found an apartment in Eastern Market. While he lived there, the apartment quickly became a creative hub for Big Pink to do events out of. That summer, we hosted an eclectic lineup of events including group meditations, rooftop movie nights, and weekly clothing pop-ups. The space became something we could offer to other artists/small business owners, and it gave us an idea of the culture we wanted to have moving forward.

After coming off an amazing Halloween show, we connected with the team to throw and unforgettable Christmas show at 🎅 Our biggest show to date with over 1500 people that resulted in us donating $11,000 to the youth boxing gym & sevin mile music. Giving back is an essential piece of the Big Pink puzzle & we’re constantly looking for new ways to connect & engage with our community!
