My first session at The Felt Estate was absolutely everything I hoped it would be! I could not have dreamed up a more perfect backdrop or more perfect evening for Emma and Fred’s maternity session.

Spoiler alert, but these two are already the best parents to their sweet baby girl, and it makes my heart so happy to look back at these pictures and remember the excitement and anticipation of everything that lay ahead.

I still have room for a few maternity sessions this October! I would love nothing more than to capture the last few moments of this amazing season for you.

A reminder that morning light can be really beautiful, too ☀️

I’ll never stop loving a glowy golden hour session. But this quiet morning on the beach before the crowds arrived and the heat settled in was pretty perfect!

Berry picking with toddlers is certainly only for the brave, and I’m so thankful the Keurs were up for the challenge! I am OBSESSED with this session and can’t get enough of these tiny little blueberry stained hands. This just screams West Michigan summer to me, and I’m so excited to share this gallery!

Documentary sessions like this are so great because they create a moment where really memories can be made, and I’m just there to document them for you!

I love when families share a little piece of their life with me, and we get to capture pictures like these! Katie asked if we could take pictures on her favorite trail, and it was so fun exploring with her little man! From wildflowers to foot races to Poohsticks (iykyk), it felt more like hanging out with a friend than a night at work, and that’s what I love so much about this job. 💛

August has been so good to me so far, and I can’t wait for the next couple months!

P.S. If you’re a mama who’s working full time outside the home by choice or by necessity, you are incredible and loved. That isn’t what worked best for my family right now, but I know it’s a privilege to get to cut down to part time work right now. You are doing an awesome job! 💛
