With the new year starting, I wanted to share something I’ve been working on for the last few months, along with a special offer to celebrate its launch.

I’m slowly rolling out a new photo and video company called Clear Signal Studio, a corporate photo and video company specializing in headshots, executive portraits, corporate lifestyle, leadership group shots, and coverage of corporate events and retreats. I started this company to better serve my existing corporate clients and to offer a true one-stop shop for corporate clients and business professionals, streamlining the process of hiring a photographer or videographer.

To kick things off, I’m offering $97 Express Mini Headshot Sessions. These sessions are designed to be efficient and genuinely useful, while also respecting your time. The goal is to get you in and out of the studio in 10 minutes. You’ll be photographed on a clean white background and receive two retouched images of your choice. They’re ideal for LinkedIn, company websites, speaker bios, or anywhere your photo represents your work. If your current headshot feels a bit dated, or you know someone who’s been meaning to update their business or professional headshot for 2026, this is an easy way to update it. Also, I’d also love to see some familiar faces! 🙂

Day Space Studio in Royal Oak, MI on:

Thursday, January 22nd from 3 to 6 PM
Saturday, January 24th from 11 AM to 2 PM

Just wrapped a few ad spots for featuring Dr. Vipol breaking down men’s health and performance, with a candid, science-backed look at ED.

Our producer flew in today, and with a lean crew, we ran a tight setup: two cameras locked off on tripods, audio dialed in, and the teleprompter rolling to keep everything smooth, tight, and on script. Big thanks to and for the assist.

Inspired by Richard Avedon’s iconic photo book "In the American West," I’m launching Avedog; a new series of high-style dog portraits on a clean white seamless backdrop. Why? Because your dog deserves a legacy shot too.
Meet Sosa, the first official subject of this series. Look at that face. That’s a face that’s stolen a sock, stolen a sandwich, and somehow still stolen your heart. ❤
Let’s be honest, dogs are the only family members who are genuinely thrilled to see you every time you walk through the door. They love you unconditionally, never ask for money, and don’t judge your life choices.
So why not give them the same treatment you'd give your human family members? Hang them proudly on the wall next to Grandma. Add them to the holiday card. Immortalize that wet nose and those sideways glances.
I love dogs. I mean, really love dogs. They’re funny, weird little creatures who deserve to be celebrated. And that’s what Avedog is all about.
And yes—I’ll even bring the studio to your house. White backdrop, pro lighting, the whole setup!

My shutter locked up after eight frames when I took this photograph of Tamara Finlay, sometime around 2010. She’s a musician, a vocalist, a stop-motion artist. Good at all of it. In 2024, she was awarded a Kresge Arts Fellowship. That should tell you something. You should check out her work.

Something was shifting then. You could feel it. Tamara was part of it too. It started small. An art show in an empty lot. A dinner in an abandoned building. Writers from The New York Times came and called it a resurgence. That wasn’t quite right. It was something else. People weren’t waiting. They were making things. Doing things. No one knew what would happen next. But something would. Good or bad, it was coming.

Now the station is restored. Roosevelt Park is clean and new. It looks nice. The city kept moving. I look at this photograph and think about that time. About momentum. About how change doesn’t announce itself, it just happens. It reminds me to keep looking ahead. Always ahead.

Nixtamalization, the traditional method of turning corn into masa, is at the heart of Vecino’s kitchen. I spent an afternoon with Executive Chef Edgar Torres learning more about it while photographing this 18-hour process, where heirloom corn is boiled, soaked, and ground to make their tortillas taste rich, flavorful, and full of history. A true labor of love.
