So honored to have been a part of the Black Women With Cameras Exhibition! 🖤

My featured piece was called, “Still Choosing You.” Fun Fact: This image was actually taken on accident. I was doing an anniversary photoshoot with my favs, the Reynolds, at the Fisher Building in downtown Detroit, when my strobe light didn’t go off. I actually decided to keep this image and added some contrast, grain, and made the lights pop. This silhouette signaled to me that after all those years together, they still choose each other.

You hear that? Yeah… that’s the sound of Black excellence!

This year has been nothing short of amazing. At just 21 years old, this Detroit girl with big dreams got to step into rooms I once only imagined. I had the honor of serving as the Social Media Manager and Content Creator for Detroit’s newest Councilwoman-Elect, Renata Miller — a true powerhouse whose resilience taught me to push until the victory is won!

From working alongside the Detroit Historic District Alliance during their mayoral forums, photographing Detroit’s first female mayoral elect, Ms. Mary Sheffield, and sharing space with THEE Mary Waters during events with my Sherwood Forest family — it’s been a year of divine alignment. 🙏🏽

I started off just taking pictures… now I’m capturing history. And the best part? I’m only 21.

This is bigger than me — it’s for my family, my city, and everyone watching who have big dreams. 🚀
It’s only up from here. Thank you to for believing in me and giving me the chance to show you what I could do! Thank you for the many opportunities you have created for me! I will always tell you how much I appreciate you Jay 🙌
