Due to overwhelming response from residents and the film community, Film Detroit is expanding our team! We’re hosting an Open House on October 22 from 10 AM – 1 PM to meet potential candidates for our new Programming Coordinator – Partnerships & Programming position.

💼 Position: Programming Coordinator – Partnerships & Programming
📍 Location: Detroit, MI
💰 Salary Range: $50,000–$65,000 annually, plus full City of Detroit benefits

About the Role:
The Programming Coordinator will build and manage community relationships while overseeing Film Detroit’s programming. This role is perfect for someone passionate about film, media, and community partnerships — and excited to help shape Detroit’s growing film industry.

Key Responsibilities:
    •    Develop and maintain partnerships with nonprofits, studios, universities, and cultural institutions
    •    Manage sponsorships, collaborations, and programming opportunities with external partners
    •    Oversee the content review and approval process to ensure Film Detroit standards are met
    •    Coordinate cable programming for Channels 22 & 68, ensuring diverse, high-quality content
    •    Track and report monthly programming outcomes
    •    Support film permitting by routing forms, logging details, and sending confirmations to film crews
    •    Perform quality-control reviews on content submissions for accuracy, branding, and compliance

Qualifications:
   •  Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong relationship-building and partnership management skills
• Knowledge of media content standards and compliance
• Program or project management experience
• Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail
