Back in early January, I was asked if I would take on being the Jamesville-DeWitt Little League Opening Day photographer and handle all of the league photos. My initial answer was, "I need to think about it."
As a small local business owner, full-time teacher, and mom of three, I wasn't sure I had the time or energy to take on such a huge assignment. After a lot of thought (and conversations with my husband), I decided to go for it with a plan in mind.
I'm so glad I did.
It turned out to be an amazing day for the business and a true family effort. My husband handled all of the team photos, I photographed every individual player, and my niece kept everything running smoothly by checking everyone in.
I received so many compliments on how organized and efficient the day was. We stayed ahead of schedule most of the time, and families had very little waiting.
The work didn't stop there, though. There were many late nights spent culling images, editing photos, creating baseball cards, and putting together team and individual photo packages. It was a lot of work, but I loved every second of it. Seeing the excitement in the kids' eyes made it all worthwhile.
I just wrapped up this assignment and will be delivering photos to families this week. Am I tired? Absolutely. But it's a good tired.
I'm relieved to have finished, mostly because I have a mountain of laundry, neglected housework, and a little self-care to catch up on. But I am incredibly grateful.
I also want to give a huge shout-out to another amazing local business, Ralin Printing. Every single photo was printed by them, and Dan, who runs the photography department, was incredible to work with. He called me several times to double-check orders and even caught a few mistakes I had made before they became problems. He also made the delivery process so much easier by labeling all of the photo packages for me.
Working with people who genuinely care about quality and customer service makes all the difference, and Dan went above and beyond. If you're looking for printing services, I highly recommend Ralin for all of your printing needs. Supporting local businesses supporting local businesses is a beautiful thing.
Finally, thank you to my friend Kristen and the entire Jamesville-DeWitt Little League Board for trusting Photos by Tiffany with this opportunity. It was truly an honor.
This project was a lot of work, but it reminded me why I love what I do. It takes a village, and I'm thankful for everyone who helped make it a success.
And if they'll have me back next year, I would be honored to do it all over again. ❤️⚾📷
