Some people had already been running for 15+ hours…yet they kept moving!!!

Howard Aslinger Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

This weekend was a busy one for me, and part of it included photographing the Aslinger Foundation 24-Hour Endurance Race.

What I witnessed over those hours was something pretty special. There were runners and walkers of all ages—from kids I’d guess were around 8 years old to a few participants proudly in their golden years. But what stood out most wasn’t just the age range—it was the community. This is a group of people who truly support one another and believe in the cause behind the race.

When I arrived Saturday afternoon for the second half of my coverage, many of the participants had already started their 12 hours while some had been going 15+ hours…and yet they kept moving. What I saw in those moments was determination, grit, perseverance, and yes—some pain—but also an incredible will to keep going when they easily could have stopped. Moments like that are powerful to witness.

I’m humbled by the dedication of these runners and walkers and the way they rally around the foundation and its mission. It was truly an honor to be there capturing these memories for them.

And to those who took a moment during the race to thank me for being there—I appreciate that more than you know. ❤️

Life can change in an instant like it did for Zoe Grace! One day we are shooting her maternity pics in the extreme windy and cold weather and next minute in a whirlwind of the unexpected happenings, little miss Aurora arrived! Although she spent a few days in the NICU she fought back and is thriving. What a little beauty she is and a blessing to all. Congrats Zoe on your sweet little one!
