Dragon’s Blood. Limited batch. One leather. One story.

The FlexCase Dragon’s Blood is Burgundy veg tanned Italian leather that does not hide what happens to it. It records it.

This is not chrome tanned leather that stays pristine. Vegetable tanned leather scratches, it marks, it develops a patina that tells exactly where your camera has been and what it has endured. Every scuff is evidence of a shoot. Every crease is a moment you carried it. The leather does not fight this. It embraces it.

Over time the color deepens. The surface develops character that no amount of conditioning can replicate. You are not maintaining this case. You are documenting your photography journey in the leather itself.

Here is what the engineering delivers underneath.

Aluminum base plate with concealed Arca Profile flush at the base for direct tripod mounting without removing the case. AirTag compartment built into the plate with custom keychain tool. Anti skid rubber points at the base. Two quarter twenty threads. Full battery, SD card, and USB C access without removing anything. Interior fully lined and padded so your M11 or M-EV1 finish never contacts bare material.

Hand painted edges in multiple layers. Hand sanded, hand buffed, hand assembled. 72 hours of precision machining and artisan handwork per case.

Compatible with M11, M11-P, M11 Monochrom, M11-D, and M-EV1.

Dragon’s Blood. Limited batch. Made in Miami.
Available only through waiting list registration.

Three coats of edge paint. Three rounds of sanding. A bamboo skewer. And paint that only exists in France.

Edge painting sounds simple until you try to do it consistently. Too slow and it drips. Too fast and it does not stick. The window between those two things is narrow and it took me a full year to find it. Not an exaggeration. Probably thousands of edges painted before I attempted it on a real product.

We tried everything. Machine applicators, sponges, brushes, every tool we could find. Bamboo skewers turned out to be the answer. Something about the way bamboo holds the paint creates a consistency nothing else could replicate. The material matters that much.

Then the paint itself. We went through everything we could source. Nothing worked the way we needed it to until we found a paint manufactured only in France. That is just what it took. We stopped asking why and started ordering it.

Three coats. Sand between each one. Sometimes after the case is fully assembled we go back and sand and paint the edges one more time. Four thin coats on some pieces before we are satisfied.

The plate goes through its own journey. Each one machined from a solid billet of aluminum, tumbled, bead blasted, anodized, then treated so the adhesive actually bonds to the surface properly.

Three full days for one case. Extensive hand labor on the leather, state of the art CNC machining on the plate, every edge painted by hand the same way every single time.

Made in Miami by photographers who love making gear as much as using it. What we build here we make available to the worldwide photography community.

There is an M11 camera dummy in there…🫪
We have spent more time engineering the engineering around the engineering than we care to admit.

That dummy M11 sitting on the bench is not a prop. It is one of the most used tools in our shop right now. Every fixture, every jig, every assembly step we have developed for the FlexCase gets tested against it before anything touches a real camera.

Fifteen different fixtures to get the assembly process as consistent as we can possibly make it. Fifteen. For one case. Fixtures for layering the materials, fixtures for controlling the thickness of each component, fixtures for assembly, fixtures for the parts of assembly we did not know would need fixtures until we were already deep into the process.

This has been one of the longest projects we have ever taken on. Marrying state of the art engineering with genuine hand craftsmanship is not a straight line. It is a long conversation between two very different disciplines and getting them to agree on everything takes time.

Sometimes we wonder why we do this to ourselves.

Then we remember that this is exactly the kind of company we set out to build. Manufacturing in house as much as possible. Controlling every step of production. From napkin sketches to full assembly rollouts, nothing leaves our hands that we did not build ourselves.

If we had to start all over again we would not do it any different.

At Owlkrown we design to inspire.

What would you want us to build next?

Fuji X100VI Grip or Plate only with AirTag? We got you.
Built specifically for the Fujifilm X100VI, the FlexGrip blends into the camera with a seamless continuation of the original body lines, creating a natural extension of the camera’s grip without disrupting the design language photographers love about the X100 series.

The result is improved handling, added stability, and a grip that feels like it was always meant to be there.

The FlexGrip features a fully pass-through design, meaning the camera body never directly contacts the grip itself while still sitting snug and secure. Integrated into the base is a hidden AirTag compartment that can only be accessed once the grip is removed, helping keep tracking discreet and protected.

At the bottom, the FlexGrip includes a built-in Arca profile for tripod-ready compatibility along with dual 1/4-20 mounting points for standard tripod systems and accessories.

For photographers who prefer an even more minimal setup, the FlexPlate retains all core functionality of the FlexGrip including:

* hidden AirTag compartment
* integrated Arca profile
* dual 1/4-20 mounting points

…while removing the grip extension entirely for a cleaner, lower-profile footprint.

Designed for everyday carry, travel, and street photography.

Small batch production. Very few units left.

Made in Miami, by photographers for photographers.

When a $5000 dollar lens hits the table hard.
This brass Summilux 50mm Black Chrome has hit the table more times than I have hit good shots with it.

You know the moment. You set the camera down for one second and the lens goes straight for the surface. That sound is not a good sound. On a lens this significant it is an even worse sound.

I got tired of it fast.

The SoloPlate is what happened after enough of those moments. A low profile baseplate that sits flush against the M body with a concealed kickstand built directly into the design. One motion before you set it down and the camera stands upright with whatever glass you have mounted. The Summilux 50mm, the Noctilux, the APO, none of it tips forward anymore.

The kickstand disappears completely when you do not need it. Nobody looking at this camera would know it is there. When you do need it, one motion and it locks the camera in place on any surface.

Arca Profile built into the base for direct tripod mounting without swapping anything out. Two quarter twenty threads for screw-on tripods. Extended base adds just enough length for pinky support during long sessions. Full battery and SD card access without removing the plate.

Available in Black Chrome, Silver Chrome, Brass, and Brass Black Patina. Each finish machined and anodized here in Miami.

Compatible with M10, M11, M11-P, M11 Monochrom, and M-EV1.

How many times has your lens hit the table before you found a solution?

We could not stop staring at this.

Bobby Tonelli came to us wanting to go full brass on his M11 Black Paint 100 Years Edition. Honestly my first reaction was that it might be too much. Brass FlexGrip, brass HotGrip, brass Shutter Topper, all on a black paint body that already has its own presence.

Then he paired it with his handmade Omnar Bertele brass lens.

I was wrong. Completely wrong.

The whole setup reads like it was conceived as one object from the start. The brass has already started developing its own patina against the black paint and every detail on this camera now feels deliberate in a way that is hard to articulate until you see it in person.

Here is something worth knowing about brass beyond the aesthetics. Brass is about four times heavier than aluminum. On an M system that added weight is not just a feel thing. It actually helps mitigate micro vibrations and allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds with more stability. Kind of like image stabilization through mass. Bobby essentially built IS into his M11 through material choice alone.

Now we cannot stop thinking about putting together this exact same setup on our own M11 Black Paint 100 Years NY Edition.

All photos shot by on the Hasselblad X2D II. Incredible results and we are genuinely stoked to see this kit going through its paces the way it deserves.

Brass or aluminum? Drop it below.

Imagine a strap that looks this good and actually performs.

That is the Classic Rope Padded line.

Everything that makes a rope strap work, the minimal profile, the maneuverability, the lightweight feel, combined with an Italian leather pad that handles the weight of your gear so your neck and shoulder do not have to.

It is not one or the other. It is both.

Available in multiple colors. Multiple attachment options so you choose how it connects to your camera. Split ring, Hassy clips, or quick release. Switch between them whenever the situation calls for it.

100 percent made in Miami by photographers who carry cameras the same way you do.

What is your current daily carry strap?

Pads change everything when you are carrying heavy glass or two cameras all day.

The Classic Round Rope Padded keeps the minimal look of a round rope strap while adding genuine comfort exactly where you need it. Neck or shoulder, the Italian leather pad absorbs the pressure and distributes the weight so you can carry longer without thinking about it. Lightweight, maneuverable, nothing extra.

Built from our climbers rope of choice paired with an Italian leather pad construction. The rope stays true to what makes a round strap great. The pad handles everything the rope alone cannot.

Multiple attachment options so you choose how the strap connects to your camera. Split ring, Hassy clips, or quick release. Switch between them whenever the situation calls for it. That flexibility is built into the strap, not something you have to buy separately.

The Padded Line exists because a lot of us were compromising between comfort and minimalism. This one does not ask you to choose.

Available in limited batches at owlkrown.com.

How are you currently carrying your heaviest setup?

What does the SoloPlate do? This.

Mount a heavy lens on your M11 and set it down anywhere without thinking twice. That is what the SoloPlate does.

A low profile baseplate with a concealed kickstand built directly into the design. One motion and the camera stands upright on any surface with any lens mounted. No tipping, no nervous moments, no that sound when the lens hits the table.

The kickstand disappears completely when you do not need it. When you do, it deploys in one motion and locks the camera in place.

Arca Profile built into the base for direct tripod mounting without swapping anything out. Two quarter twenty threads for screw-on tripods. Extended base length adds just enough room for your pinky to land during long sessions. Full battery and SD card access without removing the plate.

Available in Black Chrome, Silver Chrome, Brass, and Black Patina. Each finish machined and anodized here in Miami.

Compatible with M11, M11-P, M11 Monochrom, and M-EV1.

What heavy lens are you running on your M11?
