I must have passed through Chicago 10 times the past few months...but haven't spent more than 8 hours in the city. Next month...I'm scheduled to be around for the Air Show. Looking forward to that...and some Italian Beef!

So I met this fellow Canon-ista while walking around the park. I asked him if he wouldn't mind me grabbing a photo of him, but he only spoke a few words of English. He had no idea what I was asking for. He gestured for me to sit down with him, and said "son, return". I wasn't dying for his photo, but the opportunity to share some time with somebody from another country...sitting with inquisitive peace was really nice. After about 10 minutes of us making very basic gestures to converse, his son and nephew returned, and everything was translated. We all took a few snap shots of one another, and the son gave me his email to send the photo. Not but a day later my phone crashed, completely reset, and I lost all of my latest notes. I feel terrible that I couldn't get this to him. I can only hope they won't think I'm a terrible person for not following through. I hope that somehow, some way, this picture can find its way.

It's always nice when you have birds like these just hanging outside your hotel. I want to go back! Not quite as cool as howler monkeys though, eh ??
